- Pilot Acroball: My favorite ballpoint pen. This pen glides smoothly, never skips and is a lot of fun to write with. It’s not too thick, it’s not too thin and it comes with a fantastic grip. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, very easy to use and the ink doesn’t run out quickly. Which is why it’s my pick for the best pen you can buy for school.
- Muji GEL INK CAP TYPE PEN 0.38MM: A great gel pen with a simple aesthetic. These pens are very popular and they come in a wide variety of colors. They write very smoothly and with so many colors you’ll have plenty of options when color-coding your notes.
- Pilot Hi-Tecpoint Rollerball Pens: A little bit on the pricey side for an every day pen you can find at the store but I can assure you that it’s very well worth the price. This pen definitely has a little bit of weight to it, not to say it’s heavy but just enough so that it doesn’t feel cheap. This pen just flows with you as you write and for a while it was my absolute favorite. It does come in some unique colors so if you try it and love it, you’ll have lots of options down the road.
- Pentel EnerGel Retractable Liquid Gel Rollerball Pen: An absolute joy to use. I don’t think I’ve ever really used a pen quite as smooth as this one. There are lots of smooth pens but I’ve been hard pressed to find one that’s this good at this price point. The only downside to this pen is that it doesn’t last too long when compared to the other pens on this list. But aside from that one flaw I’m confident that you’ll love this pen when you try it.
- Fisher Space Pen Bullet: Worried that your pen will fail on you during an important exam? Well then you should probably carry one of these with you. This pen is nothing short of amazing, it’ll write at any angle (so even if you’re upside down), it’ll never skip, heck this thing can write underwater. If you need a pen to carry with you every day just in case the wildest of events take place, be sure to carry the Fisher Space Pen Bullet.
